Situated in the western part of Heilongjiang Province, Daqing is in the north Songliao Basin in the northeast of China. It is one of the central cities among the Harbin-Changchun Megalopolis. Daqing covers an area of 21,000 square kilometers with five districts of city and four counties under its jurisdiction.
