Consul-General Dr Ruan Zongze addressed at Australia-China Coal Clean Development Forum

On June 26th 2023,  Consul-General Dr Ruan Zongze addressed at Australia-China Coal Clean Development Forum, which is a Pre-Congress Symposium hosted by the 26th World Mining Congress (WMC) in Brisbane,2023.

Consul-General Dr Ruan Zongze said the momentum of improvement and development of China-Australia relations has been significantly strengthened in 2023 ,which serves the fundamental interests of the two countries. China is ready to work with Australia to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, enhance mutual trust, deepen cooperation, properly handle differences and promote the sustained, sound and steady development of bilateral relations.

China looks forward to continuing to promote traditional cooperation with Australia in energy and trade, and exploring new areas of cooperation in such fields as climate change, clean energy, green economy and green infrastructure.

The economic structures of China and Australia are highly complementary and enjoy broad prospects for cooperation. China and Australia share common goals in addressing global challenges such as climate change and cooperation between China and Australia on coal cleaning is definitely imperative. It is expected that the participants from two countries will fully exchange views and build consensus through this conference, and promote more fruitful cooperation in the future.
