On 19 April 2024, Chinese Deputy Consul-General in Brisbane Ms LI Suyun attended and addressed at Exhibition and Job fairs jointly held by Hong Kong Australia Business Association Queensland Chapter and Queensland League of Entrepreneurship. Ms Li said China's economy is off to a good start with a 5.3% GDP growth in the first quarter of 2024. China is developing new quality productive forces and will be more an important origin of innovation and growth, which provides new opportunities for Australia and other countries. China is always open to exchanges and win-win cooperation. She appreciates that Hong Kong's business community and Hong Kong compatriots in Queensland have actively integrated into the development of Queensland and made great contribution to promoting China-Queensland friendship.
