Consul-General Dr RUAN Zongze attends 2024 Chinese Lunar New Year Gala Dinner co-sponsored by ACBC QLD & CCCA BNE

On 21 February 2024, the Chinese Consul-General in Brisbane Dr RUAN Zongze attended 2024 Chinese Lunar New Year Gala Dinner jointly organized by the Australia China Business Council, Queensland (ACBC QLD) and China Chamber of Commerce in Australia Brisbane Branch (CCCA BNE). Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries Hon Mark Furner MP, Lord Mayor of Brisbane Adrian Schrinner, ACBC QLD President Mr Steve Abbot and about 350 people attended the event.

Dr RUAN extended Chinese New Year greetings for the year of Dragon to the guests and friends present. He said the significant improvement of China-Australia relationship is attributed to the contribution of industry and business communities from both sides. A large trade delegation from Queensland participated in the 6th China International Import Expo., which yielded fruitful achievements. The bilateral economic cooperation will strive for further improvement.

Dr RUAN emphasized that 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of China-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. China has a huge market capacity, a complete industrial system, and bright economic prospects. He hoped that Queensland and the Chinese communities will work hand in hand, give fully play to their industrial endowments and other advantages, and make greater contributions to promoting China - Queensland friendship and economic and trade cooperation.
