Consul-General Dr Ruan Zongze Meets with Warren Entsch MP

    On 16 February 2024, Chinese Consulate-General in Brisbane DrRuan Zongze met with Hon Warren Entsch, Australian Federal Member for Leichhardt in Cairns to exchange views on China-Australia relations and practical cooperation.

    Consul-General Dr Ruan said, the world is undergoing profound changes. China has proposed to jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind. It is China's plan for a better future of shared prosperity for the world. China and Australia have close economic and trade relations and active cultural exchanges. The Chinese Consulate-General is willing to work together with you to continuously deepen cooperation between China and Australia as well as China and Queensland, and bring more benefits to the people of both countries.

    Warren Entsch MP warmly welcomed Consul-General Dr Ruan to visit his electorate and expressed his wishes for the Spring Festival. He said, overseas Chinese migrated to the Cairns region as early as the 19th century and made outstanding contributions to the local agricultural development. The new generation of overseas Chinese are very vibrant and constantly promoting friendship and economic and trade exchanges between Australia and China. China has achieved remarkable results in poverty reduction and should be proud of it. I am willing to support the continued positive development of Australia-China relationship to benefit the people of both countries.
