The two sides friendly exchanged views on several fields. The reception was held at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre with approximately 500 attendees from Queensland Parliament, sister cities, overseas Chinese, business, academia and media.

The Governor said, the dragon represents courage, ambition and fearlessness in Chinese culture, and also love, support and tenacity. Those early Chinese immigrants worked hard to transform the business community with a lasting legacy that continues to boost our state. They also brought rich cultural traditions. We are continually enriched by such deep knowledge sharing by working together to build trade and investment opportunities, helping each other in times of need and nurturing greater mutual understanding across cultural exchanges. We look towards a productive, prosperous and positive 2024.
